Beginning of a Compendium
§Goal of the Compendium Project
I want to begin an advanced and methodological research in a field I believe will play a key role in my future and in the general future of humankind. I've been thinking about this broad range of topics for quite some time and I do need a place to create a structured system where I can do systematic analyses and research. The goal of the compendium, even if you could call it that, would cover the fields of brain computer interfaces, neuroscience, and related fields.
Topics and Sources for the Compendium
I will try to research through books, research papers, publicly available patent data and other sources like declassified military documents to create a location which I could use as a reference as I get to learn more about those fields. The topics I would want in this compendium would be BCI, which is the brain computer interface and related tangential fields such as biological computers, AI, quantum computers, psychology, human evolution, consciousness, neuroscience, brains, mind, philosophy, personal devices, health devices, health data analyses, life data analyses, etc.
Applied Research and Writing Process
Another thing I want to do while I conduct research for this compendium is I believe that it is necessary for me to learn and develop software tools like Project Lullaby, which I will be discussing in future notes and essays, 3D print BCI prototypes, and prototype other publicly available open source projects using 3D printers and other technologies. During this development of the compendium, I wish to write essays and papers, beginning with literature reviews and synthesis essays. The goal I wish to achieve from literature reviews is to systematically publish the compendium for future reference. I'll be using a new Leuchtturm1917 notebook for this process and I hope it will help me as well as society intellectually.
Future Reflections
I think it'll be a great project to look back upon as I not only write this compendium but as I learn more about the field as well as watch this compendium develop both on paper as well as on this website. Writing structurally on both the website and the notebook will be a great experiment in itself.
